This month the pupils from Nogueira will play a board game made by teacher Rodolfo from Rochão. The game is very simple and it will be used to work the Solar System topic.

Flashcard Games
Today we present an activity (made in Nogueira) divided into two parts. Both make use of flashcards. In the first part of the activity the pupils have to( after seeing the flashcards and repeating the names of food) find the flashcard the teacher asks for, note that the flashcards are turned around after repeating the names.
After this part, in which no written words were used, the teacher asked the pupils to find the correct label to each picture. After the labelling the teacher mixed and put the flashcards and the labels back on the board, making two lines, one marked with letters, the other with numbers. He then divided the class into two teams which had to match the flashcards and the labels using the letters and numbers as a reference. This activity is also good to practise letters and numbers.

Today the extra-curricular english lesson in Rochão will be in the Computer room, so I decided to post some activities on the blog so that the pupils could visit it and work on the content we have been working on - numbers.

Numbers Fishing Game
This activity was made with the preschool class in Rochão. It was a fishing game with numbers, the class was divided into two groups, each one having one child to throw a die, another to count the points scored by the team and six children to do the fishing. There were two fishers on each team who would search for the fish with the number that was on the die. For each right fish caught the teams scored one point. In the end the teacher asked the pupils responsible for keeping the score how many points each team had. It was a tie :-). All the materials used in this activity were made by teacher Vítor Pinto and his pupils from Nogueira.
